August ’22 Recap

Small-dollar donors continue to power the Democratic campaigns and progressive causes that matter to them as we head into election season. In August 2022, more than 1.6 million unique donors gave nearly 4.8 million contributions to almost 14,000 individual campaigns and organizations. The total number of contributions made this month, alongside the number of dollars raised, nearly doubled compared to August 2018, the last midterm election cycle.

These numbers demonstrate that small-dollar donors are showing up and taking action ahead of the midterms. Donors continue fueling Democratic candidates and progressive organizations across the country to help push back against an onslaught of voter suppression attempts and all-out assaults on reproductive freedoms in several states.
